Biography:
James J. Angel is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a Fellow of the Academic Honor Society of Sigma Eta Sigma. He graduated from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 1979. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Angel was hired as Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg. Mr. Angel worked as a prosecutor from 1979 to 1984. In 1984, he became a partner in the law firm Smith, Angel, & Falcone. In 1987, he went into private practice specializing in litigation.
Mr. Angel is a past recipient of Strathmore’s Who’s Who, National Registry Who’s Who, and Marquis Who’s Who American Lawyers. He is a past president of the Lynchburg Bar Association, Criminal Law section and a member of the Virginia Bar Association’s Criminal Law section.
